Non-image data such as Dicom Plan files, Dicom Structure sets can be displayed and used to estimate dose delivery (either directly from the plan, or from back projection of EPID data) so that this can be compared with Dose Cubes from the planning system for plan confirmation &#8211; the picture below is from a combination of 9 and 12MeV electron beams computed with Monte Carlo by the planning system XiO\u00ae (Solid lines), compared with an estimate based on a pencil beam generated by Henry (Dashed Lines).<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Electron Isodose\" src=\"https:\/\/sakoda.co.nz\/images\/Henry_Electron.JPG\"><\/p>\n<p>Examples of Linac QA, include using EPID imaging to confirm the picket fence test patterns from the upper and lower jaws for checking calibration of jaw movement.
